Église de Saint-Jean-de-l'île-d'Orléans

Located in an exceptional setting, this place is known for the importance of its historical and religious heritage. In the past, the parish was home to St. Lawrence river pilots who welcomed and guided all ships approaching Québec City via the shipping channel. The Saint-Jean church typifies parish churches of the French regime. Built around 1730, it is among the oldest churches in Québec.
